Escuela Moderna Kerewan is:
- Free of corporal punishment;
- Free of competition, favoritism, and rewards for "winners" versus "losers";
- Free of guilting, shaming, and humiliation as educational motivators; and
- Free of rote learning.
The principle of Solidarity and Equality shall guide all education and instruction at the preschool. The spontaneous desire of pupils to acquire knowledge and the permission to pursue that knowledge and learn at their own pace will govern their instruction, with the focus on the question: "WHY?".
